Training:

  Compton Harriers ....

 Cater for a range of standards and levels of participation

 Enter a variety of races: road; cross-country; trail; relays

 Train for about an hour or so on Thursday evenings (Club Night) - mostly off-road including:

 Long runs (5 to 8 miles) - with "run-backs" to encourage slower runners (+ short-cuts for Mo!)
 Shorter intervals and hill sessions, at your own pace
 Monthly handicap race

Away-days throughout the summer months at a variety of locations in Berkshire & Oxfordshire

 Arrange Tuesday evening training sessions which rotate over a 3-weekly period covering speed sessions, reps and hill training.

 Mainly for the more competitive runners 

Locations are emailed out on a weekly basis, but generally the rotation is Streatley (Hill), Compton, Harwell (Science Park)

Sessions are also added to the Events Calendar

Ensure the emphasis is on enjoyment and personal achievement in a sociable group

 Usually meet for Club Night at:

 IAH Social Club ("The Pickled Pig"), off Churn Road (Adjacent to the cricket field)
 Compton, Nr. Newbury, Berkshire

 6.15 pm
